Ross has been a part of the Homer charter fishing community for over 20 years. With a wealth of experience navigating fishing and hunting grounds around Alaska, Ross brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to every trip. In 2023, Ross purchased the Spirit from his long-time employer, marking the beginning of Peninsula Saltwater Guide Service.

Captain Grant J. Peel has been a fixture in the Homer Harbor over a decade, taking the helm of the Foxfire in 2016 and becoming its owner in 2024. His hands-on approach ensures that every guest receives a level of personal attention and local expertise that only an owner can provide.

A lot of Homer charters sell the same 6-hour trip under the name "3/4 day" and charge $50–$100 more per person for the privilege.
We call it what it is: a half day. Six hours on Kachemak Bay targeting halibut, run by two of Homer's most experienced local crews, with honest pricing and a simple booking.
